Nick Thompson Holisticvet Ltd
Description
Holisticvet Ltd is my small, independent veterinary practice near Bath. I focus on treating the whole dog, not just the symptoms, using a practical blend of conventional veterinary medicine, natural nutrition, raw feeding, herbal medicine and homeopathy where appropriate.
My approach is calm, evidence-aware and no-nonsense. I take time to understand each dog as an individual and work closely with owners to support long-term health rather than quick fixes. The aim is simple: better food, clearer thinking, fewer unnecessary drugs, and dogs that genuinely thrive.
Features
My relationship with raw feeding is professional, practical, and long-standing.
I’m a veterinary surgeon who actively supports and uses raw feeding in clinical practice. I advise owners on feeding raw safely and sensibly, whether that’s commercial raw, balanced home-prepared diets, or mixed approaches where appropriate. I don’t manufacture raw food or sell products under my own label, but I do work as a consultant and industry advisor to raw food companies on nutrition, formulation principles, clinical use, and standards.
I also act as an expert witness in cases involving raw feeding and nutrition, providing independent, evidence-based veterinary opinion. I’m always open to discussion with owners, vets, nurses, regulators, and industry, including benefits, limitations, and risk management. My focus is real food, biological sense, and individual dogs rather than ideology or marketing.
